Open Box Appliance Return And Exchange Policy

At Open Box Appliances, we are committed to providing high-quality, scratch-and-dent, and new open-box appliances at unbeatable prices while ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. To maintain transparency and trust, we have outlined our Return and Exchange Policy below. Please review the following terms to understand the conditions under which returns or exchanges may be processed.

30-Day Return Policy

  • Timeframe: Customers may request a return or exchange within 30 days from the date of purchase.

  • Eligibility: For a return or exchange to be eligible, the appliance must be in the same condition as when it left our facility. We verify this by comparing the unit’s condition to photos taken before it was shipped or delivered.

Conditions for Returns and Exchanges

  • Unit Condition: The appliance must be returned in the same condition it was in upon leaving our facility, with no additional damage or alterations beyond its original state. Any unit that does not meet this requirement will not qualify for a return or exchange.

  • Tampering or Disassembly: Units that have been tampered with, disassembled, or subjected to any form of personal work or modification by the customer will not be eligible for return or exchange.

  • Return/Exchange Approval: Only units meeting the condition requirements and returned within the 30-day period are eligible for a refund or exchange.

Items Transported to a Different Address

  • If an appliance has been transported to an address different from the original delivery address, it may still be eligible for return or exchange within 30 days of purchase. However, customers are responsible for arranging and paying roundtrip shipping costs to return the item to our facility, in addition to a 15% restocking fee.

  • Returns must be new, unused, and unassembled, and must be in their original packaging. Upon inspection, if the unit meets these conditions, a refund will be issued within 5 business days, minus the roundtrip shipping costs and the 15% restocking fee.

Exchange Process

  • Preference for Same Model: We prioritize exchanging the unit for the same model as originally purchased, provided the model is available.

  • Alternative Model Exchanges: If the same model is unavailable, an exchange for a different model may be pursued. In such cases:

    • If the new model is priced higher, the customer is responsible for paying the price difference based on current pricing.

    • If the new model is priced lower, the customer will receive a refund for the price difference, processed in the same manner as the original payment.

  • Price Adjustments After 15 Days: If an exchange is requested more than 15 days into the 30-day policy period and the price of the original model has increased, the customer is required to pay the difference in price, even if exchanging for the same model.

Refund Process

  • Payment Method: Refunds will be issued in the same manner as the original purchase (e.g., card payments refunded to the card, cash payments refunded in cash).

  • Card Processing Fees: For refunds processed to a credit or debit card, the 3% card processing fee charged during the original purchase will not be included in the refunded amount, as this fee is retained by the bank and not received by Open Box Appliances.

  • Refused Delivery: If a customer refuses delivery of their order, a refund will be issued for the full purchase amount, minus the shipping costs to and from the delivery address, once the product has been received back at our facility.

Delivery Fees for Returns and Exchanges

  • OBA Delivery Service: If the appliance was originally delivered by Open Box Appliances (OBA), the customer will be required to pay an additional delivery fee for the pickup of the original unit and the delivery of the exchanged model during a return or exchange process.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring the appliance is returned in its original condition, as verified against our pre-shipment photos.

  • For exchanges involving a higher-priced model, customers must pay any additional balance based on current pricing at the time of the exchange.

  • For returns of items transported to a different address, customers must cover roundtrip shipping costs and the 15% restocking fee.

Right to Refuse Returns

  • Open Box Appliances reserves the right to refuse returns for any reason, including but not limited to non-compliance with the conditions outlined in this policy.
